Nike Epic React Flyknit 2
The Nike Epic React Flyknit 2 is a brand new shoe to our shoe wall. This neutral, high-cushion shoe is much lighter than it looks. The Flyknit upper has no separate tongue and no seams, so it goes on like a pair of socks. Under the foot, the React foam has a very soft but very responsive feel. It transitions very smooth from heel to toe. Nike built in a small yet mighty heel counter that prevents too much movement on such a soft platform.
Nike Pegasus 36
This update to a classic is lighter than the previous Pegasus with a thinner upper, thinner tongue, and thinner heel collar. Because of the thinner upper, we have noticed that the newer model seems to fit a bit roomier. The heel collar seems to hold the heel better than the Pegasus 35. We are very happy with the updates, since the last version seemed a tad bulky in the upper material.
Asics Gel-Kayano 26
This updated high-cushioned, high stability model from ASICS has a softer feel under the heel. The forefoot fits a tad wider, and the upper has a more refined fit around the foot. The Kayano 26 sits at 1/3 of an ounce lighter, compared to last year’s version. We are very pleased with the direction that ASICS has recently taken to make their shoes feel like they did in their heyday.
